A ‘Delivery Link’ is a unique secure browser link that can be emailed or SMS to a customer who is receiving a pickup or delivery order. The tracking link can be automated to send to customers which have their contact details on a pick up or delivery order.
How to live track a delivery
You and your customers will be able to live track the deliveries all the way through.
Track via Orders
1. Go to Orders:
2. Search for the orders you want to track > change the filter to see orders
3. Click into the order you want to track.
4. Click "Tracking Link" and make sure you have put Emails or Phones.
Order Tracking Link will be sent to emails and mobile number automatically, if the order is provided the customer's contact.
5. Tracking Link will take you to Proof of Delivery page where you can see the detials of the order.
Track via Manifests
1. Go to Manifests:
2. Select a manifest you want to track orders
3. Click into the order you want to track.
4. Click "Tracking Link" and make sure you have put Emails or Phones.
5. Tracking Link will take you to Proof of Delivery page where you can see the detials of the order.
How does the tracking work?
First notification - started order
An automatic push of the tracking link will occur when the driver starts the first job on the mobile driver app.
Customers will get notified by their contacts. The tracking link which is the same link as mentioned prior will provide Live GPS tracking movements and an ETA of the driver approaching the customers site (if the drivers location services are switched on).
Second Notification - finished order
The second automated email/SMS will be sent to the customers when a driver completes the job on the mobile driver app.
When the order is completed on the driver app, it will show the green bar on the top of each order.
You will get an email notification which provides the order details and the tracking link which will include a digital proof of delivery signature, photos, comments, as well as time and location stamp, as seen below.
