SolBox Route & Load Optimisation requires each individual order to have a capacity assigned to it and a vehicle to have a total capacity assigned to the vehicle profile. This will allow the auto optimizer and/or the sequence optimiser to adhere to the capacity on each order, and the total capacity of the vehicle, insuring that calculations are met based on these metrics.
Show Order Capacity
Go to
Setting in "ORDERS" tab and select "Show Order Capacity" > click "Save changes"
Setting up vehicle capacity
Click into the vehicle you want to set up maximum capacity.
Change "Max Units" > "Save changes"
The maximum capacity for the vehicle to be used in Optimisation. This can be any unit of measure (UOM) which must be consistent with the Order capacity UOM eg. weight, volume, people, cartons etc.
Create/import orders with capacity
You can manually create order with capacity or import orders from file with capacity.
Optimisation
There are 2 ways to optimise the orders with capacity.
Manual optimisation
1. Create Manifest
You can create new manifest from Dashboard. Drag orders to "Drop orders here to create a menifest".
Alternatively, you can create new manifest from Manifests. Click "New Manifest"
2. Assign orders to manifests
Select orders you want and click "Allocate to a manifest" > select the manifest you want > click "Link"
You can see total capacity for the manifest as image below.
3. Assign a vehicle
Go into the manifest you want to assign > click "Assign" > select driver and vehicle that have enough capacity.
4. Check if manifest is above vehicle capacity
On manifest profile, if "Load" is showing in red color, it is overloaded. On the otherhand, it will show in black color if it is underloaded.
For example, VEHICLE 1 DEMO has been set up max capacity as 10 units before. Therefore, the manifest "Load" is showing in red color which is overloaded.
5. Edit the capacity
You can unlink orders from manifest to reduce capacity so it will fit the assigned vehicle. Or you can assign new vehicle that has more capacity to fit the manifest capacity.
6. Optimise
When you have the right capacity for manifest and vehicle, click "Optimise".
Auto optimisation
Auto-optimisation will calculate the order capacity and vehicle capacity. If the orders are over vehicle capacity, some orders will be dropped or you can select new vehicle to fit the total capacity of the manifest.
You can auto-optimise from
Order by ticking orders you want to optimize >
"Allocation Wizard" > "Auto-Optimize" > "Calculate" > editing manifest detail > "Next" > "Submit Orders"

Alternatively, you can go to
Dashboard > click "Allocate All" > "Auto-Optimize" then repeat the same steps as the one from Orders menu.
