Prestart Reports
The Prestart Reports page displays all submitted prestart inspections, including pass, fail, and repaired outcomes. This section helps track driver compliance, monitor vehicle condition, and action reported faults.
Summary tiles display the total inspections by outcome: Fail, Repaired (failed inspections that have been resolved), Pass, and All (total inspections recorded).
Reports can be filtered by:

These filters help locate specific inspections or review activity for a selected period.
Failed Report
A failed prestart report indicates that a driver has completed the required prestart checklist but one or more items were marked as failed or not in acceptable condition. This means the vehicle may not be safe or compliant to operate until the fault is reviewed and resolved.
In this report:
- Items that passed the prestart check are marked with a check, confirming the item was inspected and found to be in acceptable working condition at the time of the check.
- The failed item is clearly highlighted, indicating a fault or condition that could impact vehicle safety or compliance. These entries include the driver’s comments and, where applicable, supporting photos to clearly show the issue identified.
When a prestart report is marked as failed, it means:
- A critical item or component has not met safety or compliance requirements.
- The vehicle may not be safe to operate until the failed item is reviewed and addressed.
- The issue must be assessed, repaired, or otherwise resolved, with actions tracked until the vehicle is cleared for operation.
This ensures critical faults are clearly identified, addressed promptly, and prevented from being overlooked before the vehicle returns to service.
Repaired Report
A repaired prestart report refers to a previously failed prestart check where a critical item or component was identified and has since been actioned, repaired, or resolved.
In this report:
- Items that passed the prestart check remain marked with a check, confirming they were acceptable at the time of inspection.
- The previously failed item is shown with repair details, including repair notes, supporting photos, and the party responsible for the repair (for example, an external technician or service provider).
- The report clearly documents what corrective work was completed, when it was completed, and any reference details such as claim numbers or service confirmations.
When a prestart report is marked as repaired, it means:
- The identified fault has been addressed and rectified.
- The vehicle has been reviewed after repair and is considered safe and compliant to return to operation.
- A clear audit trail is maintained, showing the issue, the corrective action taken, and verification of the repair.
This ensures transparency, accountability, and confidence that previously identified safety concerns have been properly resolved before the vehicle resumes service.

Pass Report
A pass prestart report confirms that the driver has completed all required prestart checklist items and that no faults or safety concerns were identified during the inspection.
In this report:
- All checklist items are marked with a check, indicating each item was inspected and found to be in acceptable working condition at the time of the check.
- Each item includes the driver’s confirmation and comments, showing that critical components such as lights, tyres, windscreen, panel condition, and cab cleanliness met operational and safety requirements.
- The driver’s signature and timestamp confirm the inspection was completed in full.
When a prestart report is marked as passed, it means:
- No critical items or components failed the inspection.
- The vehicle was safe, compliant, and cleared for use at the time of inspection.
- No follow-up actions or repairs are required before the vehicle begins operation.
This ensures clear visibility that the vehicle met all safety and compliance requirements and was approved for operation at the time the prestart check was completed.
