Setting Vehicle Dimensions and Capacity

Instructions for setting a vehicle's max dimensions and weight capacity when load constraints apply and safety is required.

Below are the steps on how to set these values so the optimisation engine can correctly factor in load limits and prevent orders from surpassing the vehicle’s maximum tolerance.

 1. Ensure the measurement system is set to Metric or Imperial in the Settings page under General Settings.

2. Go to Vehicles. Select the vehicle and update the max weight and load dimensions as needed.

3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes.

Once these limits are set, there may still be cases where orders temporarily exceed the max values if the manifest was created prior to assigning the vehicle to the manifest. However, after optimisation, the system will recalculate the load, and any orders that exceed the limits will be removed from the vehicle’s manifest.
