RS35/RS36 Firmware Over-The-Air (OTA) Update

If you're experiencing connectivity issues, it may be due to outdated firmware or SIM settings—especially following the recent 3G network shutdown and telecom provider changes. This guide outlines how to perform an OTA (Over-the-Air) update on RS35/RS36 devices and reset the APN settings.

Perform a System Update via WiFi

  • Make sure the device is connected to WiFi and ensure the battery level is at least 50%.

Instructions:

  1. Connect your RS35/RS36 device to the internet.

  2. Go to Settings → About Phone → System Updates.

  3. When prompted, enter the verification code: 23058518.

  4. If a newer version is available, you’ll see a prompt on the screen.

  5. Tap Download to get the update package.

  6. Tap Install to complete the OTA update process.


Resetting APN Settings

After updating the system, this ensures the device applies the latest network configurations from your SIM provider.

  1. Open the APN settings on the device.

  2. Reset or reapply the settings to update them based on the new SIM configuration.

This step ensures your device uses the most current network settings.
